The House of Swindon visited Robert Mitchell School



Teaching the sixth grade class’s a thing or two about the renaissance period.

The children are learning the fine art of making armor with Master Seumas McLaughlin

In the back ground you see children learning period games and also a station on period clothing.

Each group was able to learn a few period songs and be instructed on the use of some period internments such as the mandolin.

Welcome to period Cooking

The children are learning about period cooking from Showing many spices used in period cooking
the head cooke, Mistress Cooke.
Everyone needed a weapon to protect themselves and once again the Swords Class is a big hit!
Even the Principal Susan Kehoe
and a Teacher get into the act.
We had a wonderful time and from all the thank you letters the children did too. We could not put all the letters up but here are just a very few of the letters that we received. Again we want to thank all the children and the faculty for asking us to come help teach there 6th grade classes about the Renaissance. It is a passion we love and we love to share our knowledge of this time period.
